ERP for construction: projects, sites and equipment under control.
Construction companies and trades work project by project – with progress invoices, change orders and equipment moving between sites. We map this in the ERP so you know where you stand – while the site is still running.
Where construction usually gets stuck.
Friday afternoon in the office: the week's timesheets come in – handwritten, some as a photo via messenger. Delivery notes are lying in the site trailer. The excavator has been on a site for two weeks that needed it for three days.
Good work is done on site. But what it cost reaches the office too late. If you assign hours, material and equipment weeks later, you steer by gut feeling – and bill change orders when nobody remembers the details.
This is what we hear most often:
- Quote, order and invoicing run in different programs
- Hours, material and equipment are assigned to the site weeks later
- Progress and final invoices with retention are manual work
- Change orders get lost or go unbilled
- Whether a site was profitable only becomes clear at year end
Odoo and SAP building blocks for construction.
You don't have to turn the whole business upside down at once. Start with the building block that helps most on your sites – the rest follows when the time is right.
Project & site management
Every site is a project with budget, dates, tasks, documents and owners – from quote to acceptance. Everyone involved sees the same status – in the office and on site.
Site invoicing
Progress invoices by completion, final invoice, retention, change orders and time-and-material work billed cleanly. The invoice builds on what was recorded in the project, not on a second spreadsheet.
Time, material & equipment capture
Capture hours and material on site via mobile; book equipment and vehicles per project, including charge rates and maintenance. Capturing on a smartphone is as easy as a phone app – even colleagues who don't care much for software join in.
Post-calculation
Real-time plan vs. actual per site: labour, material, equipment, subcontractors. Results visible before the site is closed. That lets you take corrective action while it still makes a difference.
Bills of quantities & GAEB
Quotes based on bills of quantities; GAEB import/export [PLACEHOLDER: confirm GAEB support – standard, extension or third-party module].
Purchasing & subcontractors
Material orders per site, framework agreements, subcontractor orders and settlements, delivery note matching. Every order and every supplier invoice lands directly on the right site.
A week on site – before and after.
Before: The foreman writes the hours on a slip of paper in the evening. An extra job for the client is agreed with a handshake and done. In the office, slips are typed up, delivery notes are hunted down, and the progress invoice is created in a spreadsheet of its own. The extra job doesn't appear in it.
After: Hours and material are booked on site by smartphone – straight to the right project. The extra job is created as a change order before the work begins. The progress invoice is generated from the project status, and the plan-versus-actual comparison shows during the current week whether the site is on track.
The example is deliberately generic and not a customer reference. What it looks like in your business is something we clarify in a conversation.
How we work.
Analysis
We follow a construction site through your business – from quote and order through time and material capture to the final invoice. In the office and, if you like, on site. Result: a clear list of what works and where it gets stuck.
Concept
You receive a solution proposal: how projects are structured, how capture on site works, how invoicing runs and which interfaces are needed, in what order and with what effort. No black box, no surprises.
Implementation
We implement in short stages – for example time and material capture on a pilot site first, then invoicing and post-calculation. Training is short and practical, for the site crews too.
Operations
After go-live we stay available: support, new reports, further sites and updates. Small adjustments we handle hands-on – without a major change request process.
What construction firms ask us before they start.
In our experience, yes – if capture is simple. Booking hours and material takes a few taps on a smartphone. We train briefly and practically and start with a pilot site, so the team can see that it saves them paperwork.
Yes. Odoo runs productively with a single module – for example project management with time recording on one site. Invoicing, purchasing and equipment follow in the next stages, once the first one is running smoothly.
We migrate master data such as customers, suppliers, products and equipment in an orderly way. For ongoing sites we decide together, project by project: transfer with the current status at a cut-off date, or finish in the old system.
E-invoicing in the XRechnung and ZUGFeRD formats is standard with us – important if you work for public-sector clients. Accounting runs in Odoo; the data can be handed over to your tax adviser via DATEV export.
No. What has proved itself can stay. In the analysis we check which data can sensibly be exchanged via interfaces – and tell you openly if something doesn't fit together.
Do you know today which site is making money?
In 30 minutes we clarify where you stand, what is worth doing and what a sensible next step looks like. No obligation, no slide show.
