ERP for logistics: every stock item, every movement, traceable at any time.
Warehouses and logistics providers live on speed and accuracy. We set up warehouse, scanners and transport flows so your team searches less and moves more – with an interface that is as easy as a phone app.
Where logistics usually gets stuck.
A customer calls: where is my pallet? The warehouse manager knows the answer – but he is off today. So someone combs the aisles on a forklift while the next lorry waits at the ramp.
Knowledge that lives only in people's heads and on slips of paper is the most expensive bottleneck in a warehouse. It costs search time, wrong deliveries and rework – and it turns every holiday cover into a risk.
This is what we hear most often:
- Bin locations and stock are tracked on paper or from memory
- Picking runs without route optimisation and without scan verification
- Several clients on one floor space – no separate billing
- Transport, routes and freight costs live in separate tools
- Customers ask for status and stock – the answer takes time
Odoo and SAP building blocks for logistics.
You don't have to rebuild the whole warehouse at once. Start with the building block that costs you the most time today – the rest follows zone by zone.
Warehouse management (WMS)
Zones and bins, put-away strategies, FIFO/FEFO, lots, cross-docking, cycle counting during operations. The system suggests the bin and knows what is where – even when the warehouse manager is on holiday.
Barcode & mobile processes
Receiving, picking, packing and shipping with handheld scanner or smartphone – every movement posted as it happens. The interface is as easy as a phone app, so new colleagues and temporary staff find their feet quickly.
Routes & transport
Delivery routes, tours, carrier and parcel-service integration, shipping labels, tracking and freight cost allocation. We tell you openly what the Odoo standard covers and where a connected specialist tool makes more sense.
Multi-client warehousing
Keep stock separate per client, record services (storage, picks, rent) and bill them automatically. Billing is based on the movements actually posted instead of lists filled in afterwards.
Interfaces
EDI with customers and carriers, integration with clients' SAP systems, shop and marketplace integration for fulfilment. Orders arrive electronically, and status messages go back automatically.
Customer portal & reporting
Clients see stock, orders and delivery status in a portal. KPIs on throughput, error rate and utilisation at a glance. Fewer queries by phone, more time at the ramp.
A shift in the warehouse – before and after.
Before: Early shift: incoming goods are ticked off on the delivery note and posted later in the office. The pickers set off with paper lists, each on their own route. One item isn't in the expected bin, and the consignment leaves incomplete. The customer is the first to notice.
After: Incoming goods are scanned at the ramp and are in stock immediately; the system suggests the bin. The pick list arrives on the handheld, sorted by walking route, and a wrong item is caught at the scan, not at the customer. Shipping label and delivery note are created during packing, and the client sees the status in the portal.
The example is deliberately generic and not a customer reference. What it looks like in your business is something we clarify in a conversation.
How we work.
Analysis
We walk through your warehouse with you – from ramp to ramp: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch. Preferably on site. Result: a clear list of what works and where it gets stuck.
Concept
You receive a solution proposal: zones and bins, scan processes and devices, interfaces to carriers and clients, in what order and with what effort. No black box, no surprises.
Implementation
We implement in short stages – for example receiving and stock first, then picking and dispatch. Your key users test with real goods in one area before the whole warehouse follows. Training takes place at the device, not in a seminar room.
Operations
After go-live we stay available: support, new clients, additional sites and updates. Small adjustments we handle hands-on – at short notice when it matters.
What logistics firms ask us before they start.
Yes – in stages. We go area by area or process by process, so the warehouse never stands still. Odoo runs productively with a single module; you can start with inventory and add scanners, transport and billing later.
We migrate products, bin locations and stock in a structured way. The switch is also the best moment for a stocktake: what is counted and scanned at the start is right in the system from day one.
The barcode interface runs on common handheld scanners and on smartphones. Whether your existing devices are suitable is something we check in the analysis – nobody should buy new hardware without good reason.
No. What works well can stay and is connected via interfaces. We only recommend replacing a tool if that saves you noticeable effort – and we say so openly beforehand.
Yes. Odoo can be connected to SAP, so that orders, stock and status messages are exchanged without manual work. We know both worlds from practice – details under SAP and Odoo.
How much time does your warehouse lose to searching and rework?
In 30 minutes we clarify where you stand, what is worth doing and what a sensible next step looks like. No obligation, no slide show.
